Hey guys, for my research and comp class, I am researching how style [clothes wise] affects attitude, and its influence on ourselves and othes.
If you have thoughts, opinions, or answers for any and all of the questions below, say so! I will greatly appreciate anyones help!
Some people say that if you wear tight shirts, skinny jeans, black, preppy clothes, etc, it gives a certain message off. What are your thoughts on the way Christians you know dress? Do you think that someone's relationship with Christ has to determine the way they dress? If you dress a certain way, does it say "im a Christian" or "im not Christian"? What about the different ways style affects religion? If you see someone with a black veil on, a black skirt, and white blouse, you say, oh, thats a nun, and associate it with Catholics. If you see a woman covered in black garb, eyes veiled too, you think to yourself, she must be Muslim. When people look at Christians, how do you think they expect them to be dressed? Is there a sterotype for Christian's fashion? How do sterotypes fit into religion? Just because someone dresses one way, does it mean they are Christians, or even have a religion at all? Do you think its fair that Christians are expected to dress a certain way?
Look at the attached pictures--what do you think each person's religion is? Do they have a religion? What makes you think that way based on the first glance. What is your first impression of these people? Do you think there is a reason for their fashion? Who do you think is/isnt a Christian?
Any help is GREATLY, EXTREMLEY appreiacted! THANKS!
Thanks and God Bless. |
