im back to finish from before......i just cant seem to stay away.!. lol.!. anyways, here it goes:::
v10"my life is consumed by anguish and my years by groaning;my strength fails because of my affliction and my bones grow weak"
many of our lives may be consumed by anguish (distress,pain,suffering,are all definitions of anguish) but we need to letr it go. we need to make our lives consumed with GOD and God alone. [David (the writer of this Psalm) his years are consumed by groaning because he has so many enimies.] we need to tell satan to leave us and he will, God provided. it may take time, but it will happen. [David's strength fails because of his affliction. He used to have an impact on people, but not so much anymore because of his affliction which is grief and misery. He isnt as powerful as he thought]but with God and through God we can do anything. Without God we are nothing. With him we are everything.
v11"....I am a dread to my friends; those who see me on the streets flee from me."
Throughout the years im sure we've all felt abandond. Some of our friends may leave us becuase 'were not good enough for them, we dont fit in, or because they have changed' but others will leave us because we put God first and foremost in our lives and they dont like that. Altho that friend may leave us, we need to help him. We need to continue to reach out to them. The may 'flee from us' but we need to help them. find God! thats what everyone needs!
v12. "I am forgotten by them as though i were dead; i have become like broken pottery"
Wow. this is really powerful to me. Because i have felt the feeling of being "forgotten as though i were dead" not just by friends but by family too. I know the pain. but we need to stay strong. we need to look to God. he will NEVER forget us.We will always be his and he will always be ours. The part that goes "i have become like broken pottery" for some reason, and i dont know why, reminds me of the song 'Pieces by Red'. We come to God a broken mess and he accepts us. We dont have to be 'popular, cool, in style, cute' to be accepted by God. 'Broken pottery', swept up and thrown in the trash bin. thats what we may feel like sometimes. but we need to get rid of those feelings becuase that is satan trying to rule us. we need to get rid of those feelings and run to God, our protecter and lover.
v13. "For i here the slander of many; there is terror on every side;they conspre against me..."
Slander=lies, falsities, rumors, made up things. People may make lies about you. maybe its a rumor that really hurts. i know how it feels when a friend comes up to you and goes "so and so said so and so said so and so said that you.....is it ture?" it really hurts. especially when the one person you told promised to not tell anyone. or maybe you never told anyone. someone made up a lie about you. it hurts. real bad. but you have to stay strong! its satans way of degrading you. DONT LET SATAN WIN! go to God and find comfort in him. Let him make you whole again. You may be scared or afraid, when 'there is terror on every side of you' it surrounds you. but dont let it hurt you. affect you. you NEED God's help and love and you will be able to overcome it.
v14. "BUT I TRUST IN YOU, O LORD; I SAY "YOU ARE MY GOD"."
wow. this is an awesome verse. declare that you trust in God, thru the thick and the thin. we all need God an we need to trust him. it can be REALLY hard to trust God, thinking that things are going the right way, only ending up worse. but GOD HAS A PLAN AND A PURPOSE FOR EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU! HE LOVES YOU! 'I say, you are MY GOD.' wow. declare that God is yours. your God, only God you will ever have. declaring only makes satan loose more. which is good. we want to win, God to win, not satan.
v15. "...deliver me from my enemies and from those who pursue me"
Ask God to deliver you-from your enemies-anything that you need deliverance from-and he will. it may not happen instantly, but it WILL happen. it may take time, but it will.
v16."...save me from your unfailing love."
GODS LOVE IS UNFAILING! always there. never gonna leave you! Heres a definition og Gods unfailing love from the dictionary: not failing; "not giving way; not falling short of expectation; completely dependable, inexhaustible; endless, Always able to supply more, Constant, Incapable of error, unconditionable, never coming to an end, unceasing"God's love is all of thsoe things! WOW! constant, incapable of error, inexhaustable, always able to supply more, those are just a few that stick out to me. but they are all so true! they are! God's love for us will ALWAYS be here. no matter what. no matter how bad we mess up, his love still is there for us!
vv17-18. "Let me not be put to shame, O Lord.....Let theyre lips be silenced"
dont let ANYONE put you to shame, or make you hide or feel bad becuase you are a Christian. theyre jsut speaking for satan. You have GOD! theres nothing better in this world then that! Having God for support, his love and trust, there is NOTHING better than having GOD. so dont let someone make you want to hide God. 'let his light shine through you'!
v19. (speaking to God) "how great is youre Goodness which you have stored up for those who fear you...."
God's goodness-moral excellence, virtue, kindness, generosity, the best part of anything, integrity, honesty, uprightness, probity, beneficial or nutritious part, that which is pleasing or valuable or useful(all defintions from the online dictionary)-its great! he saves his goodness for those who fear him. thats very powerful and meaningful to me. until i read this i thought it was kinda weird that i was afraid of God sometimes-but now i know its what God wants. being fearful of the Lord is a great thing. he saves his goodness, benificial part, kindness, for those who fear him.
v20."....in your dewlling place you keep them safe"
God protects us. we are denied the chance to have harm done unto us. that is awsome. were protected by Gods love and care for us. He shelters us from everything that harms us in this world. we just need to ask him for it and he will provide us, supply and equip us, with what we need.
v21. "Praise be to the Lord, he showed his wonderful love to me when i was in a besieged city"
[David was praising God for his past happenings or events] besieged-To surround with hostile forces, To harass or importune, surround so as to force to give up. we will be surrounded with many hostile events and be harassed for our beliefes-but you HAVE TO STAY STRONG! by doing so you are helping God win-and satan loose-all for the glory of the Lord. Dont let someone harrass you and give in. be strong and know that God is there and loves you. We may want to just give up and give in at times-but dont!
v22. [speaking about/to God] In my alarm i said "i am cut off from your sight!' Yet you herd my cry for mercy when i called for your help"
At points we may cut God out of our lives-temporarily, hopefully. It may be because things arent going your way or becuase you feel that God let you down. but even after we cut him out of our lives-he still loves us and will help us. as soon as we realize what we have done, and run back to him, he will help us again. but even when we cut God out of our lives, he STILL loves us.
v23. "....The Lord perserves the faithful..."
The Lord...Perserves...the faithful. read it agian-slowly. The Lord perserves the faithful. wow! that is really strong. he keeps the faithful in his possesion. it may not seem like it at times, but its true. We will always be God's. The faithful-that is-will always be God's.
v24. "BE STRONG AND TAKE HEART, ALL YOU WHO HOPE IN THE LORD"
Be strong. Be strong. For the Lord. Be strong and know that God is with you. And always will be. Times may get really rough, trust me, i know, but we need to be strong and stay strong. look to God our Lord for everything. He is everything. WIthout God we are nothing. He will help you through anything! All you have to do is believe it and trust in God.
