Student Leader Commitment

The Campus Way regular meetings and leadership meetings are a passion and priority in my schedule. Other Campus Way events should also be given priority in scheduling; however, grace is given towards infrequent conflicts that do come up from time to time. I will, whenever possible, plan appropriately in getting things done on the weekend to keep our meeting time free.

. Attendance at Summer Camp and Winter Retreat

I recognize the Lord uses camps and retreats in a special way to bring non-believers into relationship with Himself and deepen commitments of His followers. I commit to doing everything possible to be able to attend both Summer Camp and Winter Retreat. I will also do my part by intentionally inviting my non-believing friends.

. Lifestyle

I am committed to choices and a lifestyle that are Godly, knowing that my lifestyle is a model for other students and that it communicates, without a doubt, my commitment to Christ. I am aware that having a positive attitude and avoiding complaining and arguing also serve as a Christ-like example. In addition, consideration should be given towards modesty in dress. (Remember these commitments, especially this one, were designed by Student Leaders.)

. Accountability

I agree to be accountable to another Student Leader in the ministry as well as to a campus adult leader.

. Discipleship of other students

I agree to disciple and learn to disciple one or more other students that attend the Campus Way.

. Evangelism Challenge

I agree to pray for one or more unbelievers on my campus, invite others to the Campus Way weekly, receive evangelism training, spend personal time practicing, share the gospel, and lastly ask people if they’d like to make a commitment to Christ.

. Follow through on responsibilities

I agree to follow through on my responsibilities from week to week. These responsibilities range from preparing to present lessons, being prepared for the Bible lesson we are doing, bringing my Bible always, inviting others, praying for others, showing up early to greet others, preparing, handing out and posting invitations/posters, preparing warm ups and ice breakers, bringing necessary props for these warm ups and ice breakers, bringing snacks on assigned weeks, etc.

. Humility and servant-hood

As a Student Leader I am grateful to the Lord in elevating me to this position. However, I agree that it is important to think of others as more important than myself. I also realize that this position gives me the opportunity to be an example of a servant leader. On a regular basis I will be needed to help out, serve, come early, and stay late.
